This is the first in a series of four novels that are planned in this story of two lovers involved in a battle of good and evil that will have cosmic consequences before the series is concluded.

Bruce and Gloria were destined to be lovers and their love is so strong that Enervata, Macul of Love Maligned must have Gloria for himself and stop the love that will bring changes to mankind. Enervata has been able to stop such unions in the past by using his minions and his wile to take control of the lovers and separate them.

When Gloria is kidnapped by Enervata, Bruce and Jamie – who has been a friend for life and who watches over him, must go on a quest to find the Four Pillars of Humanity in order to free Gloria. On his quest he picks up several traveling partners: Charles Fort – a musician, Shannon Power – a disc jockey and Fort’s girlfriend, Bedelia – a waitress, Emily – a street smart young girl, and Ichabod – fortune teller. They move around the country picking up the partners and fighting the obstacles and miscues that Enervata keeps lacing in their way to give him time to turn Gloria into his conquest.

This is an urban fantasy that fills the bill and is filled with interesting characters. There could be more back story to flesh out the characters, but it would probably slow things down. It’s well written and at the finish you will be satisfied. I’m looking forward to the next volume OTHERWORLD QUEST, coming soon, I hope.
