The Closer What would you do if you came home and discovered that your entire family had been murdered by a serial killer? Would you let the police handle it or would you try to find the killer on your own? This is the story of Jack Salter and how his profession changed from that of an artist who used canvas and paint to one who uses pain to finish his canvas of revenge. THE CLOSER has decided to take down as many serial killers as he can and help the families of the victims find closure. He has enlisted the aide of Nikki, an ex-prostitute who has had several friends killed, in order to complete his plans. Nikki is beginning to wonder if Jack is beginning to his work too much. Jack discovers an internet meeting place for the serial killers and decides that he must take eliminate them without the others finding out too soon. The only problem is that one of them, The Patron, is the one who took out Jack’s family and he also knows that Jack is THE CLOSER. This is a very interesting and well thought out novel about someone becoming a serial killer killer. It is well plotted and full of interesting ideas and plenty of action. It’s not too often good psychological thriller comes along and this is one of the best I’ve read in a long time. Pick this one up and be on the lookout for more to come from Donn Cortez. | |
