Dancing with the Devil Amanda Douglas’ marriage is not going well. A private investigator discovers that her husband, John – a very successful attorney, has been unfaithful from day one. Her only solace is her six year old son, for whom she will do anything. When Amanda asks for a divorce, she ends up going through a fifth floor window and re-enters the world as a ghost. She continues to take care of her son, as he can see and speak with her and begins to create havoc in John’s life as he tries to date and sell the house in order to get rid of her. Silvestri has written an unusual book of revenge and caring that has an unusual ending. Some of the events are comical and the length and breadth of a mother’s love are well expressed. This may not be to everyone’s taste, but it is a well written charmer. | |
