The Brian Lumley Companion Here is a collection of essays on Lumley and his work from his first Lovecraft influenced stories to his novels of Harry Keogh, the NECROSCOPE. There is a brief chronology by Lumley of his writing career; an interview by Stanley Wiater, and other interesting pieces by Robert M. Price, Robert Weinberg, Stephen Jones, and Melissa Ann Singer. There is also a bibliography of the novels, stories and poetry by Lumley and a concordance of each of the books in the NECROSCOPE, VAMPIRE WORLD, DREAMLANDS PRIMAL LANDS, and PSYCHOMECH series, but sadly (at least to me) omits the TITUS CROWE series. There is also an interview with Bob Eggleton, who is the artist on the majority of Lumley's Tor releases. Lumley also has three fifty word shorts that add a laugh or two to the volume. This is an indispensable volume to the Lumley collector or to someone who wants to know more about the man, the writer and his creations. | |
